Meet Jose
Jose started his business as a craftsman in 1999 in Colorado, working for almost 15 years. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sheri, with whom he had two children, Diana and Gabriel. His family moved to St. Louis in 2013 where he resides today, and since the move the shop has taken off!
He continues to learn from the best in the business, attending annual conferences all over the states to learn new trades or techniques. He is a life-long learner who is constantly seeking to learn new skills from his mentors.
Today, he is a true master of his craft and it is evident in all of his work.

JG Sewing & Leather Repair is a full service shop dedicated to making your old items look and feel brand new. Whether it's shoes that need resizing, a zipper that needs repairing, or your favorite recliner that needs upholstering, JG has you covered! We work with a variety of materials, including leather, vinyl, velvet, canvas, zippers, shoe soles, and fabric of any type. JG owns all materials and machines necessary to repair whatever you need fixed! We also make custom items with creative, original designs, hand-made just for you.

I needed to have a leather jacket zipper fixed and this was the lowest priced option with the quickest turnaround that promptly answered my inquiry call. The price and completion time was half of similar businesses and quality of work was amazing plus it was fixed even quicker than estimated. I had a leather overnight bag that got used up pretty good and had a fairly short deadline. Jose was the only leather shop open on a Monday. I called and went right away to have him see what he could do. He quoted me what I consider a fair price to fix it and told me he'd give me a call in 2 days. Picked it up and on top of being fixed, he conditioned all the leather and charged only what he quoted. Can't ask for anything better. Will definitely call again if I ever need leatherwork again.
